November means Thanksgiving to most
Americans. For many paintball players in
the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, November
has also come to mean something else to
be thankful for- Fulda Gap. Not the actual
Fulda Gap, the area in Germany where
many expected the Soviet Union and the
Warsaw Pact to come thundering over
and through the United States and NATO
forces trying to hold them back during the
24
Cold War, inaugurating World War Three,
though it does have something to do with
that. They’re actually thankful for the scenario game called Fulda Gap, based on
that battle that never happened, held each
November at Command Decisions in Taylorsville, North Carolina. So I guess, in a
way, they might actually be thankful for the
real Fulda Gap. So maybe I should start
over.
