9 Infamous: Most of the early Infamous roster read like the roster of Avalanche before it (also on this list), with some added talent like Andy “AK-47” Kopcok and Rusty and Gator Glaze. The team was playing as Miami Effect in the NXL that year (2004) when it decided it didn’t like the league’s stance that they were not allowed to play in the NPPL so they walked away. In their first NPPL event they took down powerhouse Dynasty to take first place and they repeated that feat a few months later in Denver. Eventually they were allowed to come back and play in the PSP’s Division One X-Ball later that same year and won another event. Although Infamous has never been as dominant as their first season in 2004, for ten years they have 55 won a major event almost every season. Their best overall placing in recent years was their 2012 third place in the year-end season rankings--a year in which they won in Chicago and placed in the top six in all five events. They are currently ranked 5th in the PSP and notched another first place win the first event of the 2014 season. Other Infamous notes of interest: Although Infamous has rarely missed an NPPL or PSP event throughout their history, they are not a team that has traveled outside of the US, playing only a handful of events abroad since 2006. Had they played outside of the US more often they easily could have moved up this list three or more spots. WWW.PAINTBALLX3.COM
