The high berms surrounding Colleville,
old relics and 2 story structures offered
plenty of cover for the German army.
Allied army attacked from the north and
the east and found gaining ground in
inches rather than in feet the norm.
Disney moved in a clockwise rotation
to the city of Colleville. We were able
to take out multiple troops and ATs. We
were spotted by the German tanks and
pursued. We managed to evade them
for a complete pass around the city and
the Church. Our second round was cut
short as another German plane rolled in
and marked our rear kill plate.
counted 45 kills for the allied army.
“Posey’ added another fistful of tickets
to make a point spread now of Germans
plus 10 points overall. The Germans
began to celebrate victory, however all
the tank kills had not yet been counted
for the allies. Remember the search for
Schaeffer.
We went to dead zone 4 and waited
till our turn to reengage. Allied troops
ready to insert had to go back to the
Pegasus bridge tag and then come back
to dead zone 4s area to reengage the
Germans. We waited for the troops to
come back as we then hit the road to
engage the enemy. This sequence went
on until 1630. At his point in the game
any tank or plane killed was eliminated
from the game and would head off the
field.
Disney took the road to the west of
Colleville, we eliminated troops and ATs
all along the way. We killed a German
tank and while stopped a referee did a
random field chrono of our markers. All
were found to be safe and within the
limits of play and we reengaged the
enemy. At 1643 we were eliminated on
the back side of the Church and proceeded off the field.
