52
their preliminary round bracket they beat
TCP Wrecking Machine 5-2 in the quarterfinals and Rack City Klutch 5-2 in the semifinals. In the finals Revo II did just enough to
beat the TJ All Stars 4-3 to take the Division
Two Chicago Open title.
It’s great to see the divisions get larger in
size the lower you look in the ranks. This
bodes well for the future of tournament ball.
This event saw 35 teams enter Division Three
RaceTo-4. Chicago Warped, Project Mayhem,
Absolute Chaos, PR All Stars and AAF each
went undefeated in preliminary round play.
Absolute Chaos played eight games in this
event, winning all and only having one game
that was any kind of a challenge. Of their
eight games four were 4-0 shutouts, including their final round win over AAF.
Twenty four teams entered Division Four
RaceTo-4 and unlike most of the other divisions there was a lot of parity in D4. Only
one team in the division lost all four prelim
games and only SA Notorious won all four. In
the end it was Boom Kidz over Chicago Outbreak in the finals. Palm Beach Venom beat
SA Notorious in the consolation bracket to
take third.
