Thanks! Since our premier in July 2012 we
secured a distribution deal with First Run Features. Based in New York, they are one of the
nation’s preeminent distributors of independent and documentary films, so we landed in
good hands. They chose to release the film in
May of this year to coincide with the run up
to this year’s Oklahoma D-Day game in June,
as well as the anniversary of D-Day, June 6th.
Since the release we have gotten nothing but
positive reviews, which feels great! We put a
lot of hard work over six years to make this
film happen and it is nice to not only hear of
people watching it, but also really enjoying it,
too.
Has the film gotten any reviews? If so, from
who/where?
Yes! We have gotten reviews from all kinds of
places—many blogs, DVD review sites, and
from paintball industry insiders. All of them
have given the film a thumbs up. The response
from casual movie-watchers has also been
outstanding—the average score on Amazon
is 4.5 stars out of 5 and on iTunes it is 5 stars
out of 5.
Is the film available on Netflix or any other
similar network?
First Run Features recently completed a deal
with Netflix and it will be available on there
some time in the next few months. While we
are excited to see the film on Netflix, it doesn’t
help us much for recouping the costs for making the film. Viewers can support us best buy
purchasing a DVD, renting, or downloading.
What’s next for you and the film?
As we have learned throughout the making of
this film, filmmaking is multi-step process. The
final step of which is marketing and promotion, which is what we are heavily engaged
with right now. We made a movie and movies
are meant to be seen and we are busy making
as many people aware of it as we can.
How can players get a copy of the film on
DVD?
Easy.
