TOURNAMENT For that event Loyd decided to switch the position of refs every two matches in order to give them the opportunity to learn how to cover every part of the field. Stefano Paladini – one of the experienced of the crew says: “ at the beginning that strategy created a state of tension and confusion between all of us. Mainly because we were all on different levels of experience and also take the youngest of the marshal crew and have them cover the sides, this way they could understand how to move and to learn so that his decision was correct and fair.” A Millennium regulation sized field, bar, swimming pool and even a lake and add that with the great atmosphere of friendship obviously: the perfect location for a perfect day of paintball! According to the weather predictions the event was expecting the universal flood on Saturday due to the bad rainy and cold spring of this year. Fortunately it happened on Sunday and they only had only wet turf to deal with for the day of the tournament. From the beginning every team understood what level each team had achieved, among them: Scorpions Milano, Decima Centuria from Rome, Italian Idols from Padua and Extreme Neapolis for the first division and distinguished themselves with an aggressive game and advanced level of experience. The first game of Div. A saw Decima Centuria against Italian Idols in four exciting points that ended with a 3-4. After this victory the young Idols team, guided by Bear Degidio, started the climb toward the podium that was only slowed down by Scorpions Milano. The Idols next match would be against Decima Centuria. The experience of the Romans players was useless in the face of the energy and the team spirit of Padua Idols. 102 PAINTBALLX
