31 The UWL started with a 10-man tournament and for the first time this year offers a 5-man tournament as well. In the 10-man game each game last 30 minutes with reinsertions every 10 minutes. The object of the game is two pull stations at the mid line of the field and a center objective. Teams gain points for each minute that the mid flags are pulled to their color, grabbing the center objective, and pulling the other team’s base flag. Teams contain 1 captain, 1 scout or ranger, and one heavy gunner. The 5-man game has the same objectives with a captain, scout, and heavy gunner and is 10 minutes with one reinsertion at the half way mark. Each of these games is very intense from the starting whistle until the final whistle. game for Destiny Army. Destiny Army took first place and Black Karma took second place. In the Open 10-man the Chicago Underground team took 1st place with the Master Blasters taking second. In the Tactical 10-Man Destiny Army took first place with the local team, Black Karma, taking second. The real nail bitter came in the 5-Man final between Destiny Army and Black Karma. In the 10 minute game, no points were scored and came down to the first overtime in UWL history. For this overtime, each team had to choose one player to represent them and go to a one on one face off. Black Karma chose Nick Hancock, while Destiny Army chose Dave “Front pack” Entwhislte.
