Success

After working with MSCCN for two months, Ann was offered a job with the local Parks and Recreation Department!

Hiring Challenge: My challenges were networking in a new community, being out of the job market for an extended period of time, and having an outdated resume. I was new to the area, and trying to establish connections with the community was difficult. I was also surprised by the difference in the job hunting process from one community to another. The tools used to find a job 5 years ago are different from the current tools used. I sent my resume out over several months to countless organizations with very little response.

Assistance Received: Jenna has been incredibly helpful and attentive in my job search. She worked with me closely to maximize results with my resume. She gave positive and constructive feedback to streamline my resume and gear it to meet the needs of employers. Jenna also invited me to attend the online live trainings that were extremely informative about the ins and outs of the job market today. Ms. Weakly performed a mock interview and provided valuable information and skills needed to prepare for and answer interview questions.

Result of Assistance: I was much more prepared and informed about what I needed to do to find employment. I found a career in the field I was searching in very quickly (within 2 weeks) after I had the know-how I learned from this organization.

Value of Experience: My experience working with MCCSN has provided me priceless instruction that will stay with me as I continue developing my career. Thanks to this organization's support, I was able to rapidly land a position with great potential. The attention to detail was incredible, and MCCSN provided insight into the current and local job market. They provided me with the tools I needed to efficiently and effectively get the desired outcome.
