More than a Snapshot Volume 1, Issue 2 | Page 6

Editors Message\r\n\r\nWOW what a ride this has been. What started out as 2 people and 1 model looking to promote small businesses has snowballed into a 4 member team with 9 models and worldwide exposure. As of writing this 25% of our readers are not in the United States. In our first week, we were the number one magazine on our hosting site and in any given week we reach between 2,500 and 10,000 people.\r\n\r\nThis month’s theme is Ladies Night Out. More than a Snapshot’s goal is not all about young female models, we are about beauty and businesses. You will be shocked to learn that all the ladies in this months issue are over 40 years of age. These are strong women that also give back to the community in many ways both in front of as well as behind the scenes.\r\n\r\nWhen I envisioned this magazine, I had a plan about what was going to happen and what it would grow to in the first year. I am pleased to say that before the second issue hit my 1st years plans have almost been completed. The first issue even exceeded my expectations with KITT from the original Knight Rider TV show. \r\n\r\nWhen I found KITT, I made a comment about having ALL my childhood favorite cars on the show. KITT, The General Lee and Bumblebee. Since the new start of the Transformers and Chevrolet actually offering a Bumblebee replica, I figured that was pretty easy BUT I have never scene a General Lee around here, so that was pretty much just a joke.\r\n\r\nOne day, I am watching the More than a Snapshot’s October Cover Model Contest and someone vote that has a General Lee as their Facebook Profile Picture. Heck what have I got to lose? He is either the owner of the vehicle, knows the owner or is a big fan of the show. So I messaged him. Turns out he is the owner and we make an arrangement to shoot. HEE-HAW (in my best Bo Duke impersonation).\r\n\r\nAlso in this months issue is photos from our launch party at The Farmhouse located in Emmaus PA. A special Thank You to Michelle and Bridget for being such wonderful hosts.\r\n\r\nThere was to be a special introduction here, however; it turns out to be a heartfelt wish of luck. Ilka Ivanova was our Marketing and Advertising Executive. She is moving on due to other opportunities and some changes that are happening as a result. Ilka was a huge asset to the team and her insight and thoughts help drive the magazine to the point it is. \r\n\r\nOne of Ilka’s new ideas was an Artist of the Month. Since she is an artist herself, I wanted her to be our first featured artist. Take a look at her amazing artwork on page 42. \r\n\r\nOur featured model, Stacey Redfield, was selected several months ago. Stacey is a real go-getter, mother of 2, author, pilates instructor, inventor of the Stacey Redfield’s Red Braided Towel and a model. She is person always on the go. In between all these, you can also find hints about healthy eating and pictures of her garden treasures she finds in her working garden.\r\n\r\nThis month we are adding a printed copy option. (Ok so as I write this I hope it works this time). While most online magazines got there start as a print magazine, we planned an online magazine that would have a print option. We offer the magazine online for free, but only print for those that want a physical copy.
