Many Vets give medicines that are fit for humans and
which do more damage than good for a dog. Unlike
overseas trained Vets, local Vets only complete a
very short study to earn certification, after a few
months they are called a Vet and can earn money.
Their medical advise appears too generic for all
illnesses. Many simply things like: “Chocolate
can kill a dog easily” is not known to Vietnam dog
owners, and even Vets in Vietnam don’t seem to
know this, for example.
What are the names of your pets and a few
particular charastertisitcs?
When Puppy needed vaccinations, my former
employer introduced me to a Vietnamese Vet on
Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, Saigon. He clearly had
a passion for helping animals and loved every
animal that came into his clinic. He had saved the
life of my former employer’s dog where other Vets
had said that the dog could not be saved. This Vet
