affect new students enrolling in the spring
2016 semester.
In an enrollment update to the trustees,
Kathy Nacos-Burds, Ph.D., NICC vice
president of academic affairs, shared
districtwide enrollment data, including
the fiscal year credit student enrollment
trend report for the year ending June 30,
2015, and the current fall semester figures.
The fiscal year report indicated that total
credit student enrollment at NICC is 6,864,
which includes 2,740 high school students
enrolled in concurrent enrollment courses
through NICC.
Dubuque Competing for Georgetown
University Energy Prize
The City of Dubuque is partnering with
local utility providers, non-profits, and
kindergarten-12th grade schools to compete in the Georgetown University Energy
Prize (GUEP). The GUEP is a challenge initiated in 2013 by Georgetown University
to incent small to medium-sized cities to
implement creative strategies to reduce
energy use in residential, municipal, and
K-12 school buildings.
