That’s no reason to head to an overcrowded gym or – worse! – the couch. You can still get your fill of your favorite outdoor activity, provided you follow these stay-safe tips: 1. Dress to be seen. This is one time when flashy clothes are not a fashion faux pas. Wear reflective materials and bright colors. If you’ll be on especially dark streets, carry a flashlight or attach a flashing device to your hat or helmet. 2. Find a fitness buddy. Grab a friend whenever you can, or bring your dog along for a walk or run. If you must head out solo, tell someone where you’re going and how long you’ll be gone. 3. Leave your headphones at home. We love a good exercise playlist, but darkness plus distraction isn’t worth the risk. You want to be alert to the sounds of cars and other people. 4. Stick to populated areas. Nighttime is n [YH
