A Symphony of Soils
Family Reading Night
Gruesome Playground Injuries
1-3 PM @ Hurstville Interpretive Center
(Maquoketa, IA)
Celebrate the resource of soil with the
documentary, A Symphony of Soil. By understanding the elaborate relationships and
mutuality between soil, water, the atmosphere, plants and animals, we come to appreciate the complex and dynamic nature
of this precious resource. Optional lunch
(for a cost) will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Adam Hoffman, Professor at UD, will speak
about soil health before the film. This is an
OWL event for older, wiser, livelier adults
who want to learn more about natural
resources and have fun. Call 563.652.3783.
4-7 PM @ East Dubuque District Library
(East Dubuque, IL)
Join the East Dubuque Library for a free
family reading night. Pajamas welcome.
Visit IllinoisReadingCouncil.org.
7 PM @ The Smokestack, 62 E. 7th St.
Trainwreck Productions presents this play
by Rajiv Joseph. The lives of Kayleen and
Doug intersect at bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare
the scars and physical calamities that keep
drawing them together. Admission is $7 at
