New year, and with the fairy lights still barely cold and festive
pudding still apparent around the midriff, it appears we have an
ongoing desire to keep the celebrations going, for no sooner
have we looked at ourselves in the mirror and vowed not to touch
another drop, eat nothing but lettuce, juice every morning and see
if the jogging suit still fits (wherever it may be hiding!), the annual
“Award season kicks off!”.
Whilst Food and hospitality Awards
offer gala dinners and the sound of
popping champagne corks (there
goes all the aforementioned efforts!),
such events and gatherings are
perfect opportunities to celebrate
success, something I feel we
should be doing proudly, regionally,
nationally and internationally.
They are a way of highlighting
what fantastic produce we have
in this country and how
