TINERARY

nights – Cross Borneo Jungle Trekking from East to
West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
There will be a variety of transportation used ranging
from buses, private vehicles, river boats to canoes,
trucks, hiking and of course lots of tough trekking as
well. This really will be a voyage of discovery, an expedition where we must expect the unexpected.
From crowded villages to dayak traditions, from flowing rivers to inland lakes, from palm oil plantations to
magnificent mountains, this tour really does have it
all!
The trip will be starting and finishing at orangutan
rescue centres and you will be able to spot exotic
Day 01 - 21 AUGUST: ARRIVAL JAKARTA. Arrive in Jakarta and be
transfered to your hotel. Meet rest of
team and expedition leader.
Day 02 - 22 AUGUST: JAKARTA –
BALIKPAPAN – SAMBOJA LESTARI.
Early morning flight to Balikpapan in
East Kalimantan and transfer to Samboja Lestari lodge. This afternoon we
shall hold our tour briefing and gear

Day 03 - 23 AUGUST: SAMBOJA
LESTARI. Tour of Samboja Lodge,
orangutans and sun bears. Visit
to orangutan rehabilitation centre.

Day 04 - 24 AUGUST: SAMBOJA –
SANGATA - KUTAI NATIONAL PARK.
Travel to Kutai National Park and wildlife viewing.Overnight at research station. (B,L,D)
Day 05 - 25 AUGUST:  KUTAI NATIONAL PARK - LOAJANAN - MAHAKAM RVER. Transfer from Kutai
National park to board our house bota
on the Mahakam River. (B,L,D)
Day 06 - 26 AUGUST: MUARA
MUNTAI – MANCONG - MELAK .
House boat, river travel by long boat
and dayak village. (B,L,D)
Day 07 - 27 AUGUST: MELAK – KERSIK LUWAI – EHENG – TERING
– LONG BAGUN Dayak villags via
longboats.
