It ’ s Saturday , April 20 , and Lindsey Hinkle is playing at the Noble Street Festival in Anniston . She ’ s the first act of the day on an unseasonably cold morning - only about 50 degrees , less in the shade , not to mention all the wind - playing under the Hot Blast Music Cafe tent . She ’ s played two songs so far , and before she goes on to the third , she leans in to the mic conspiratorially : “ This is a song I wrote called Catch the Rain . Just so you know , I can ’ t feel my fingers ,” she says , and starts picking out a tune while the audience chuckles .
