Where does the name Chyrose come from ?
ChyRose comes from a mix of my middle name and my Mom ’ s . She is one of my greatest supporters .
When did you decide to devote yourself to art full-time ?
My accounting career of 23 years at the Ft McClellan Exchange /
Commissary ended when they closed about 10 years ago . Also the empty-nest helped , and I truly love spending time doing something I love .
What was your favorite thing you made as a kid ? Have you held onto anything from back then ?
I did a lot of oil paintings during my childhood , and loved them all . I guess the one that sticks out the most would be the “ Red Skies Over North Carolina ”. As far as holding on to my artwork , my parents have a lot of my oil paintings . Since the death of my grandparents , I have acquired the oil paintings I gave them as gifts , back .
