Creating Connections Between Campus and Community Through Partnerships and Collaboration Line Dance w/ Aaron Honeysucker #CommunitySpeaks Dancing is one of those activities that never excludes anyone. Every Monday Mr. Aaron Honeysucker has gym floor full of willing dance partners, who happen to be older adults. This line dance class happens between the practices of the Tougaloo College volley ball and basketball teams, so there’s always an occasional college student that joins the Monday afternoon party. For more information on Line Dance Class contact, Rachel Owens at (601) 977-4437 or [email protected]. Community Speaks is an ongoing community discussion that takes place on college campuses and community settings. The most recent edition of the discussion focused on preventing tragedies that happened in Ferguson, Missouri from happening in Jackson. The forum, aimed at building a stronger relationship between law enforcement and the community, is co-sponsored by Mississippi M.O.V.E. (Motivating and Organizing Voters For Empowerment) and OHWC.
