Can you hit the right note?
20,000+ students • 31 schools • 13 countries • 1 Global Orchestra
Are you ready to play your part?
We are bringing together our finest young musicians and singers in our first ever Global
Orchestra performing in New York this summer!
Whether you have the voice of an angel or you are a violin virtuoso, we invite you to
showcase your talents and audition for our ensemble. Our Global Orchestra will consist of
a choir, soloists and instrumental ensembles who will join together in New York this June
for an exclusive week long residential programme ending with a public performance. You will participate in inspiring workshops
and practice sessions guided by experts, watch performances by elite artists and be immersed in the city’s arts culture. You will also
develop your creativity, confidence and collaboration skills as you work with and learn from each other.
Auditions will take place in our 31 schools around the world in March. The top performers from each school will be invited
to share a recorded audition with a global judging panel who will select three young musicians and singers from each school to join our
international ensemble. If you’re interested in finding out more talk to your music department today!
Are you an outstanding communicator with a passion for music? There will also be one place for a student journalist to travel to New York
to report from the summer school. Look out for more details on how to apply for this amazing opportunity in the
Young Journalists area on the Global Classroom.
Student Zone
In March, the British International School of Houston are taking over the
Student Zone. They will teach you all about International Humanitarian
Law and how it protects innocent civilians during times of war. There will
be plenty of activities, such as discussions on the Geneva Convention
and ways for your school to get involved too - by pledging to support
International Humanitarian Law. It is a way to bring all Nord Anglia schools
together for a common cause that perhaps is not as well-known as others
but is no less important.
We hope to see you there in March and can’t wait
to witness all of the schools being active on the
online space.
Did you know
The Geneva Convention was signed on 22 August 1864. The original
convention had ten articles, covering the treatment of sick and wounded
soldiers in the field, as well as establishing the neutrality of hospitals, ambulances and medical staff.
