Pauline rests on her Laurel
opular Harlow Leader Pauline Gillett was lost for
words when she was set up for a surprise
presentation in March.
Pauline arrived at the Park Inn, Harlow expecting an
afternoon tea with the rest of the County Training Team.
Instead she was the centre of attention as Region
President Carol Roberts and County Commissioner Chris
Skinner were waiting to present her with a Girlguiding
Laurel Award.
The room was full of
Pauline’s Guiding friends that
she has made over many
years, including all the County
Training Team members with
whom she works closely. In
fact, Pauline shared cutting her
cake with Jenny Wolff. This
was because it was Jenny’s
birthday and Pauline thought
that was the real reason for
the gathering.
A well deserved award for a
really dedicated Leader and
Trainer.
