The hall was decorated with sunflowers that the Brownies had made. There was a Bring and Buy section, refreshments and cakes available and many games stalls. The Brownies worked very hard planning the event. We invited many brownies and guides from the district and were overwhelmed with the support we received. The children all had an enjoyable night and the adults were kept very busy! The event lasted from 6.00pm until 8.00pm and we were astonished to discover that we raised a total of £365.00 in such a short space of time. The Brownies have been learning about hospices through the ‘Changing the World’ Help the Hospices project. They were therefore very eager to donate to Little Havens Children’s Hospice in Essex.
