PBIDA Gets New President Summer 2016 Welcome to the PBIDA summer Focus newsletter. This digital edition of Focus will highlight the efforts of our standing committee Pennsylvania Dyslexia Literacy Coalition. As you will read in the following pages, members of this coalition have been working to increase awareness of Dyslexia, encourage better teacher training and support families in need of resources. We hope you enjoy this multimedia update. Lisa Goldstein, MD, as been elected President of the Pennsylvania Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. Dr. Goldstein is a Board Certi ed Child and Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist in private practice in Rosemont Pennsylvania. She specializes in navigating the complicated special education needs of children with mental health and learning issues. PA Commonwealth Approves Charter School The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court approved the Provident Charter School for Children with Dyslexia. The School is planning to open in the Fall of 2016.
