LC Delft - Tie Another Day - A Challenge from Mars 20th May - 28th May This spring, LC Delft organized one more workshop called “Tie Another Day – A Challenge from Mars”. During this eight-day long event, the participants had the chance to build a rover using VHDL as a main tool in programming. They also had the chance to visit the Photovoltaics Lab at TU Delft. Next to the academic part comes some EESTEC spirit as always. The participants did a sightseeing tour of Delft as well as visiting The Hague and Amsterdam during the weekend. This group of EESTEcers had a great chance to experience the Dutch way of life and they surely took this opportunity and used it very well. LC Krakow - Smart Energy for a Better World 2 7th July - 13th July When hearing about LC Krakow, you would believe “SEFBW” stands for Skilled, Endless nights, Fun, Best Workshop! Well, you only renamed the second edition of “Smart Energy For a Better World”, which took place from 7th to 13th July, in cooperation with the ABB Corporate Research Center. The participants had the chance to improve their skills in the automation and electrical science ?eld. Apart from the intense laboratories and lectures, they were introduced to Krakow’s ways of having fun: laser tag, go-kart races, unforgettable city rally and parties all night long. LC Trieste - 2nd EESTEC Summer School - “Smart Mobile City” 21st July - 28th July LC Trieste was chosen for the second time as the EESTEC Summer School of?cial host. The theme of this event was Android development and open data, divided into two main sections: development and design of Android applications. This second edition 24
