AUTUMN WEDDING STYLING

Bridal wear:
A sleeved vintage lace dress would look fabulous – team with a wheat crown to tie in your whole look.
Favours:
Harvest knots (or corn dollies) would make lovely favours tied with ribbon. Traditionally given by the groom to the bride in Ireland, they can also be used in your bouquet or on chair backs.
Harvest Festival Wedding
This colour palette instantly brings an Autumn day to mind: apple reds and greens with a hint of berry pink and natural wheat shades. Gold accents compliment this colour scheme beautifully and will add a touch of warmth to any cold or wet Autumn day. This would really suit a farm or barn wedding.
Stationery: Flowers:
Big blousy white blooms look beautiful intermingled with colourful berries, fruit and wheat. Or why not break from tradition and have an apple and wheat bouquet? I love this rustic Autumn stationery by Knots and Kisses
Decor:
You could incorporate mismatched brown wooden vintage chairs, vintage trugs, baskets and crates, filled with Autumnal fruits, vegetables and sheaves of wheat, and gold or brass candlesticks. Add votives decorated with ears of wheat and colourful glassware to really brighten up your tables - think green and amber; rustic wooden signs, leaf and wheat garlands. Spray or dip some gold, apple candles, and what about hay bale sofas?
Food & drink:
Think picnic blankets and vintage hampers packed with goodies, laid out on picnic or trestle tables. Indulge with cider champagne cocktails with cinnamon spiced rims, served in vintage glasses or teacups or a hot cider bar with cinnamon sticks.
Cake:
Mini apple cakes, wrapped with parchment and string, are a great alternative to cupcakes.
