Kim and Dan
At Dotty Magazine, we love to feature real weddings where the couple have really managed to put their personal stamp on their wedding day celebrations. The wedding of Kim and Dan is particularly meaningful to us, as Kim is a very close friend of our Magazine Editor.
The beautiful couple met when they were just eleven years old, at secondary school. Despite knowing each other for several years, it wasn’t until 2008, when they realised that they shared a lot of mutual interests, that they decided to get together. Dan had planned to propose to Kim after completing a skydive that had been booked for his birthday present; it was a love of the outdoor pursuits that had helped to bring them together in the first place. Unfortunately, the day of the skydive, 10th August 2012, the weather was not in their favour, and Dan’s jump was cancelled. Not only had Dan managed to gear himself up for a skydive, but he had also prepared to propose, and that plan had gone pear-shaped too!
