Tomboys are very common within our culture now, and quite rightly so, girls and woman should be allowed to wear any sort of clothes or be into any sort of hobby. I think that Tomboys are great and do a lot of the LGBT community with them making it easier for trans boys to start on their pathway. I am all for the Tomboy movement and would like to look at a movement which in my eyes is almost identical but for some reason shunned by society. Sissyboys, or rather very feminine males.

I want to look at why people think that a girl dressing and acting like a boy is a good thing but a boy dressing and acting like a girl is a bad thing. I think it comes down to the way our sexist society really looks at the sexes of male and female. The males are the better ones so a woman or girl wanting to be a male is like she is trying to better herself, almost like a promotion. The boys or men who dress and act like females on the other hand are degrading themselves, pushing themselves to a lower level. This is why people consider Tomboys good thing and Feminine guys bad, a joke, silly and stupid.

This really needs to stop, I mean with people seeing women as the lesser of their male counterparts we have things like Rape culture, transphobia, homophobia, sexism and much more. Why is it that these ‘Sissyboys’ are not seen in the same light as Tomboys?

To any and all feminine guys reading this, I think you're amazing!
