Coll ectors Circle Travels to New York
Members of the Collectors Circle enjoyed an action packed tour to
New York City in January. The group visited the Winter Antiques
Show, museum galleries, auctions and the home of a private
collector on Fifth Avenue. The group had an exclusive behindthe-scenes tour of the new American Wing at the Met and was
the first to see the custom ordered fabric for our own Duncan
Phyfe reproduction, which will be included in the Duncan Phyfe
exhibition at the Met in 2011. The purpose of the Collectors Circle
is to connect likeminded people interested in art and to learn
about museums, the art world and collecting through lectures
and travel. Members of the Collectors Circle select and purchase
works of art for the Museum’s collection, paid for with their dues.
For more information or to join the Collectors Circle,
contact Todd Herman at 803.343.2205.
