The installation of the
chandelier is scheduled for
the week of April 5, 2010
by a team of Chihuly’s staff
and will be hung piece by
piece – all 700 of them.
Its asymmetrical shape
will compliment the
architectural design of the
Museum’s atrium space.
The Museum’s gala “Red,
Hot….Cool” on April 17
marks the official unveiling. Not only will the
chandelier be one of the
most significant pieces of
public contemporary art in
the Southeast, but the
project itself is currently
one of the largest
acquisition projects of
any museum’s young
professional group in
the nation.
Lunch with Dale Chihuly in his gallery.
A Gaffer working in the
Chihuly Studio Hot Shop.
