That's right – laugh! Joyce Johnson with the Breathing Association will teach us about the benefits of laughter and guide us through some laughter yoga exercises. There are many short- and long-term benefits of laughter:  Stimulates organs by enhancing the intake of oxygen-rich air  Soothes tension by stimulating blood circulation and aiding muscle relaxation  Improves the immune system by providing positive effects the opposite way stress decreases the immune system  Relieves pain by causing the body to release its own painkiller  Lessen the effects of depression and anxiety  Helps people connect to one another Please take the time to enjoy Joyce’s article “Remembering to Breathe” on page 5 about properly breathing through stressors. No RSVP necessary. We hope you will decide to learn and laugh with us!
