About Mount Carmel Mount Carmel East Mount Carmel has been a leader in patient care for more than 125 years. We’re dedicated to providing the best in patient-centered care. It’s a commitment we’ve made to our patients and communities we serve at our four central Ohio hospitals — Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel West, Mount Carmel St. Ann’s and Mount Carmel New Albany. An integrated health system, Mount Carmel also offers two free-standing emergency departments, surgery centers, outpatient facilities, physician offices and community outreach services. Everything we do is centered on delivering the care that’s best for each patient’s unique situation and personal needs. Our team of more than 8,000 employees, 1,500 physicians and 1,000 volunteers is committed to the quality care of our patients and their families. Together, we serve more than a one million patients each year. Mount Carmel is dedicated to more than just medical care. We’re dedicated to medical and nursing education and training as well, with six physician medical residency programs, fellowship programs and Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Our baccalaureate nursing degree program is one of the largest in Ohio. In our effort to provide the highest-quality care, we’ve managed to provide awardwinning care, too. Mount Carmel has received local and national recognition for quality of care, associate and patient satisfaction, community involvement and philanthropy, including the Press Ganey Associates’ Guardian of Excellence Award for patient satisfaction, and the Catholic Health Association’s Achievement Citation. Awards, facilities and services aside, we never forget that we’re a community-benefit ministry with a charitable mission. Each year Mount Carmel provides tens of millions of dollars in uncompensated benefits to the community. We’re also actively engaged in the community through business, civic and service organizations, and through our financial support of other not-for-profit organizations and social services agencies.
