ADR Magazine had the opportunity to sit down with a music lovin ’ duo named Suzanne & Jay . These two lover birds have developed a Facebook page that promotes North Texas music and gives people from all over to find out where their favorite artist are playing on that specific day .

We wanted to get a chance to pick their brain about the motive behind the page , why they take the time to write out the daily hit list ( because as of now they do this on their own time and dime ), their love for the local music scene and where they want this to go in the future .

The North Texas Rhythm page compiles a daily “ Hit List ” that specifically list each artist playing , what venue and what time ... and they do this for every day of the week . Talk about commitment to their page , fans and artist !

“ Since we started doing this , it is humbling the amount of love we are getting from the artists . We were sitting at a venue one night , watching some of our favorites and we over heard a conversation going on between some ladies and one said to the other ‘ have you checked out the North Texas Rhythm page .” It is moments like this when Jay and Suzanne realize the impact of what they are trying to accomplish which is simply , promoting great local music ! and gather as much information as they can so that local , live music can be heard .

ADR readers know and have been exposed to the extremely talented artist that are popping up all over the place and North Texas Rhythm is seeking them out from venues of all sorts and sizes from The Spice Rack in Burleson to The Curtain Club in Dallas . Jay put his theory on North Texas music by saying ,

“ We have seen this happen , hundreds of times . Seattle in the 90 ’ s , San Francisco in the 60 ’ s and Atlanta in the 90 ’ s as far as rap is concerned . Every so often all the pieces fall into place , meaning you have incredible music , live music , artist and incredible venues for the artist to play at .”
