Are there any songs that you have a close connection with , or are a primary writer for ? Brook : I wrote “ Changing Times ” and “ Cold Feet ” on my own . Chad and I team-tagged on “ Adieu ,” “ How Deep This Goes ,” and some of the others . I hadn ’ t written very many songs before joining up with the sibling band , so I ’ m excited now to keep delving into creative mode . Chad is a great writer and it ’ s fun to work with him and all my siblings ; you never know what kind of song is going to be written on the paper by the end of the night .
“ For me , ‘ The Lights Came On ’ is probably one of my favorites . I love how Bethany and Caleb sing it together . Even more so , I love the lyrics and the message that sometimes , you realize that you need to remove yourself from a situation and that you are better off without that person . I think that a lot of people can relate to this song .”
What inspired me to write “ Changing Times ” was simply my current circumstances . I started thinking about how when you ’ re in the beginning
