Nice clean MINT selection of a variety of duplicated USA issues
with singles, sets, blocks, plate blocks, large multiples, and
more. A few highlights include: large blocks of Franklin 1¢
#219 MNH block of 40, Harding 1½¢ imperf MNH block of
42 (x2), Washington 2¢ imperf #577 MNH block of 48 (x2)
each with side plate block, and others including Q1-3
(separations); Trans-Mississippi 2¢ MNH bottom margin
imprint & plate # pairs (x3); selected Washington-Franklins
perf & imperf blocks and Franklin $5 #524 MH (x2); Lindbergh
10¢ C10 MNH block of 4 (x12) & C10a MNH booklet pane
(x10); Prexy ½¢-$5 MNH complete set & ½¢-50¢ plate blocks
(x2) plus $1 MNH plate block & $2 mint block of 4; complete
Famous Americans with duplicated plate blocks & blocks of
4; Liberty Series MNH plate blocks thru $1; Americana $1

attractive material with high cat value and lots of face. Overall,
fine to very fine.

Mint and used collection of many hundreds of WashingtonFranklins 1¢-$5, organized by Scott number in ‘102’ sales
cards. Despite some very obvious mis-identifications (such as
2 identified as mint #491 that are Type III), there is a great
deal of used to be found in this lot, including an off-center but
genuine mint #500, couple bluish papers and other tough types
and values. There also are a number of coils that should be
examined closely, but many genuine as well. Few faults of any
significance found, and many of the mid-range stamps sport
premium centering. Owner’s enthusiastic catalog value tops
$20,000. Our own examination finds it to be closer to $13,000.
Either way, this is a lot you should plan to spend some time
with. Fine.
