Two attractive folded letters: (1) 1855 Roman States #5c and
#9, both very fine, and each tied with 5/15/55 Bologna double
circle postmark, third strike at right, red ‘FRANCA’ and ‘P.P.’
handstamps, and Genoa receiving cds on back, very fine; and
(2) 1862 Two Sicilies #21 vertical pair, margins large to just in
at right, tied with Napoli 1/15/62 cds with second strike at
side, on folded letter to Lucera, very fine.

Chemitz, franked with Palace & Obelisk 12½c #21, Gardens
50c #25, Pius XI 2.75L #31 & 2.50L Express E4, tied by 3
strikes ‘CITTA DEL VATICANO’ cds, with 3 different cds on
back. Clean cover, very fine.(2) 1930 ITALY airmail cover
Trieste to Genoa, franked with Virgil 15c, 25c & 50c (#248,
250 & 252), Ferrucci 20c #242 and airmail 1L C6, tied by 5
strikes of Trieste cds, with Venezia-Milano, Trieste Roma and
Genova cds on back. Slight soiling, 2 small pieces of tape on
front. Fine to very fine.
