1870s to modern, a few earlier. All sleeved, priced and sorted
by county. Useful stock, generally inexpensive, occasionally
better, noted some nice corner cards, advertising such as Carbon
Peanut Co of Carbon, TX, 1902 ‘Mexican & Indian Curio Co.,
El Paso to Santa Fe, New Mexico Territory, with receiving
backstamp; more. Mostly commercial with Airmail, Registered,
Postage Due, more. Some philatelic such as First Flights, First
or Last day covers, Events and others; also some checks and
other ephemera. Includes: scarce 1922 Cuero ‘Turkey Trot’
slogan cancel; 1889 East El Paso cds, very scarce, in use
1889-91, with ‘Collector of Cacti’ corner card; plus many
DPOs, such as Sejita, Santa Cruz, Seven Sisters, Duvall,
Crestonio and others. A few faults, generally fine to very fine
or better.

Approximately 30% of the lot is Harris County, with a nice
range of modern postal history of Houston. A few of the other

#188 jumbo, printed ‘House of Representatives/State of Texas’
corner card; 1901 Bruner (DPO), St. Louis Shoe Co. advertising
cover; 1885 Scottsville franked with #210; 1865 Confederate
Tax Receipt (4"x2½”); c.1898 Seguin star cancel; 1895 Estelline
registered; lots of small towns; DPOs including Gageby, Gem,
McCook, Newlin, et al; more. A few faults, generally fine to
