(1608) 1979 IRON ‘BETTY’ LAMP 50¢ MULTI,
ALMOST IMPERF BETWEEN .................................. PH
1516
(1727) 1977 TALKING PICTURES 13¢ MULTI,
FULL SHEET MAJOR COLOR SHIFT ...................... PH
$850
Complete lower left pane of 50 with MAJOR downward shift
(about 10mm) of engraved brown color. Shift not only displaces
movie projector (leaving gutter gap at top), but has completely
eliminated plate number! Great exhibition piece or broken down
for individual sale. MINT never hinged with great topical
appeal.

(1845) 1982 STRAVINSKY 2¢ BROWN BLACK,
‘MISSING FACE’ ....................................................... PH
114
$300
Bizarre variety that defies adequate explanation. Right margin
block of 12 with face missing on one stamp and nearly so on
another. Stamps were tagged normally (over ink), and missing
gum on reverse corresponds directly to missing ink areas on
front. Stamps were printed on pregummed paper. Very fine
MINT never hinged exhibition piece requiring further research.

(1768a) 1978 MADONNA 15¢ MULTI, IMPERF
PANE OF 100 ............................................................. PH $2000
Complete, unbroken upper right pane of 100 (plate #38731#38736). Very fresh and very fine. Can be used either as
exhibition piece or broken down for resale. Catalog value does
NOT include premium for plate block and other position pieces.
Datz estimates 300-400 pairs. This may be only intact pane.
MINT never hinged. (Datz $4000) Cat $3500.
(1688o) 1976 WASHINGTON CROSSING DELAWARE,
24¢ MULTI, TAGGING OMITTED .. View photo online $1000
Very fine souvenir sheet with phosphor tagging omitted on all
stamps. Listed, but not valued in Scott. Extremely scarce. MINT
never hinged.
1514
(1731a) 1978 CARL SANDBURG 13¢ BLACK & BROWN,
BROWN OMITTED .................................................... PH $1200
Unusual example of this scarce error in that all design elements
are present, but brown ink entirely missing. Very fine MINT
never hinged. Cat $2000.
$250
Very fine horizontal pair with virtually no trace of vertical
perforations between. Stamps have vertical crease between
them and markings that look almost like roulettes. Very strange
EFO that we’ve not previously seen on this issue. MINT never
hinged.
