This privacy policy explains how Joomag handles personal information and other data we obtain from you anytime you interact with Joomag, such as when you browse on our website (joomag.com) or create a user profile, or when you use our service to upload or download content.
Personal information means data which identifies an individual person, like name or email address. If we store personal information with data that is non-personal, we will consider the combination as personally identifiable information. If we remove all personal information from a set of data, then the remaining data is non-personal. Data from merchant subscribers, like a business email address, is non-personal information.

Information we collect from you

Joomag does not collect, store or process personal information unless you choose to register with us.

Registrations

If you choose to register with us at our website, Joomag collects and stores the information we require you to provide: your name, email address and password you choose. We combine and store this information together with additional information that we request in the Account Settings section at and after registration, such as the industry, sector, and type of publication that a publisher intends to create, and any PayPal account number. We also will combine your personal information with all the materials that you upload such as PDF and SWF files, video and audio files, and fonts, as well as with the operational information that we collect via technology while you browse our site (see the section below.)

Joomag processes your personally identifiable information only in accordance with this Privacy Policy or any applicable service-specific privacy notice. Please note that Joomag may use your information for marketing unless you ask us not to; see the section below on Managing your Account.

By registering with Joomag you are authorizing us to collect, store and use your personally identifiable information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Information collected via technology; Browsing

When you browse our website Joomag’s servers automatically log standard technical/operational information, such as your IP address, browser type and language, and the date and time of your request, as well as any referring URL (the website you came from.). Joomag uses this operational information to help us improve our service and customize your experience at our site. We use aggregated information to track trends and analyze use patterns.
Cookies: Joomag also uses “cookies” – small files containing a string of characters sent to your computer that uniquely identifies your browse. Sending a cookie enables us to collect operational information and to keep a record of your preferences. We use session cookies to keep you logged in while you use features of our service; these disappear after you close your browser. If you agree to stay logged in, we will also use a persistent cookie that stays in your browser and allows us to recognize you when you return to the site.
Third party analytics: Joomag uses analytics companies/tracking services that employ shared browser objects (Flash cookies or LSOs) or web beacons to administer our website, to enhance your online experience and to learn about how you use Joomag services in order to improve the quality of our services. This data includes usage and user statistics, but is not used to identify you. These third party partners perform analytics for us and others.

Information disclosure

Joomag does not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your personally identifiable information, including any of your user profile data that you create, with other organizations for their marketing or promotional uses.
Joomag may disclose personally identifiable information about our users to third parties: (a) with your consent or as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy; (b) when we have a good faith belief it is necessary pursuant to a subpoena or other judicial or administrative order; (c) where required by law; or (d) at our sole discretion, where we deem necessary to respond to claims, to protect the safety of any individual or the public, to fight against fraud, or to protect the rights or property of Joomag or any third party.
We do disclose personally identifiable information to affiliated companies, sub-contractors, other agents or businesses or persons to: provide web site hosting, maintenance, and security services; fulfill orders; conduct data analysis and create reports for us; offer certain functionality; assist Joomag in improving our service and creating new service features, and perform marketing for us. We require that these parties process such information in compliance with this Privacy Policy, we authorize only a limited use of such information, and we require these parties to use reasonable confidentiality measures to keep your information secure.
Joomag may also disclose to third parties anonymous aggregated user information that is not personally identifiable.
Social Media Features. Our websites may include social media features or widgets, such as the Facebook Like button. Use of these features may allow them to collect your IP address, detect which page you are visiting on our site, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the third party providing the function.

Data Integrity; Your Right to Manage your Information

Joomag takes reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary. You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. Do Not Track Signals

There is no uniform or consistent standard or definition for responding to, processing, or communicating Do Not Track signals. Personal information collected by Joomag may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Joomag or its affiliates, subsidiaries, or agents maintain facilities. If you are accessing the Joomag site from the European Union or other regions with laws governing content collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, then please note that you may well be transferring your personal information outside of your country and possibly to the United States and that by viewing the website and providing your personal information you consent to that transfer.

ACCURACY AND ACCESS

We will reply to your request within thirty (30) days of submission. For your protection, you will be required to provide proof of your identity to obtain a copy of your personal information. Data Security

Joomag implements security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction. Other measures include internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, as well as physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
We endeavor to restrict access to personal information to Joomag employees, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our services. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and are required to meet these obligations.
If Joomag learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. Joomag may post a notice on the website if a security breach occurs. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive a free written notice of a security breach you should notify us at privacy@joomag.com.
It is your responsibility to ensure the security of your Joomag account password, and not to reveal this information to others. Selecting a longer password with a mix of letters, numbers and symbols makes it more difficult for others to guess your password. It is also helpful to change passwords on a regular basis.

Children Under 13

IF YOU ARE UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE, PLEASE DO NOT USE OR ACCESS JOOMAG AT ANY TIME OR IN ANY MANNER.
Joomag does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. If you are under 13, please do not send any information about yourself to us, including your name, or email address. If you are the parent or legal guardian of a child under 13 who has become a member of Joomag, then please contact Joomag at privacy@joomag.com to have that child's account terminated and information deleted.

In the Event of Merger or Sale

In the event that Joomag is acquired by or merged with a third-party entity, or undergoes a change of control or any form of sale or transfer of some or all of its assets, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information that we have collected from users as part of that merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control.
